Springdale Bilingual Newcomers Guide:

"Welcome to Springdale" HWOA learns and compiles resources within the community to provide plethora of information to new residents about community resources and services and information about HWOA's programs and events.
Voter Registration:
HWOA participates in non-partisan voter registration in Washington and Benton Counties, seeking to increase Latino participation in community affairs. HWOA targets the underegistered, infrequent voters and new citizens.

HWOA Scholarship Program:

Since its inception in 2000 with the support of sponsors and donors HWOA has awarded 163 scholarships to deserving Hispanic students many of whom are first-generation college students, encouraging them to pursue higher education and make their dreams a reality.
Promote Citizenship and Civic Participation among Hispanics in Washington and Benton Counties:

This activity goes hand in hand with our voter registration. The work done in our community provided us with information about other issues that prevent Latino residents from full civic participation. As a result, in 2006 HWOA initiated the formation of the Arkansas Coalition for Citizenship.
Guiding, Empowering, and Mentoring (GEM):
GEM helps language minority residents using tailored educational programs and support systems to help them reach their full potential. Participants acquire marketable job skills and learn to navigate the system to find opportunities for self-development, education and employment. Under this program HWOA offers:
