Events:

Cinco de Mayo:

Held at the Jones Center for Families in Springdale.  It is a community event, free to the public, with live music, folkloric dance performances, food, exhibits and more.  This annual festival gives local performers the opportunity to showcase their talents in a family-oriented setting.   Proceeds from the Cinco de Mayo go to the HWOA Scholarship Fund, which aids Hispanic students in pursuing higher education.  This event is in collaboration with the Jones Center for Families and donations from local businesses.

Conference:

The Annual HWOA Conference highlight programs, present research findings, and discuss issues affecting Hispanics in Arkansas.  Alfonso Aguilar, Chief of the 'United States Citizenship and Immigration Services' Office of Citizenship will be our keynote speaker in the conference.  This year's theme is "Citizenship: Reaching for the American Dream."
